Program - : Randy Archer. A former Colorado resident who lives in Charlotte, Vt an expert on gold prospecting and panning. He will talk about finding gold and panning.
A three part presentation of
(1) passing around about 25 of my gold nuggets and mine specimens and talking about their characteristics
(2) a Power Point slide show of some of the areas I panned and prospected and some mines I toured.
(3) a hands-on gold panning station, where folks can practice gold panning. I use a richly salted combination of Colorado gold and black sand mixed with Vermont dirt. Because of the richness of the material, I will not be able to let folks keep the gold. But, the good thing about this mixture is that almost anyone can learn to pan with it.
